It's a Tuesday Miracle!

The following miracles have taken place on this, mine and Beau's first full day alone together:

1. I was able to give Beau his medicine in both cheeks without him spitting it all over his clothes forcing me to change him and making him VERY, VERY angry. (Let me take a moment to give a shout out to Shout!)

2. He has thus far taken two naps allowing me to lay him down...did you get that...naps in the bassinet NOT in my lap. You may laugh but he naps to lullabies of the '80s. There's nothing quite like an instrumental slowed down version of Total Eclipse of the Heart. It's actually pretty good as is Hold Me Now and Melt With You.

3. Once he allowed me to soothe him IN the bassinet by patting him NOT picking him up. Yes Dad, I am working on that whole lap colic thing.

Oh and Lisa I totally realize that I have just sabotaged everything :)

We couldn't have miracles without a few fails:

1. I went into the kitchen to find the bottle warmer overflowing with formula...apparently you must take the straw out of the Dr. Browns before warming said the lady on the 1-800 #. I told her that would have been helpful info on the instructions what with Dr. Browns being a popular bottle and all. Luckily I didn't destroy anything...formula just bubbled out of the straw.

2. Salem has walked around the house crying (with his sweater in his mouth) as much as Beau today. It's eerie how much he sounds like an infant. Poor baby!

I know this post is short, but it's my first. I know that in the days, months, and years to come Beau will give Evan and me so much more to share with family and friends. One day he'll have a record of our time together so feel free to leave comments.

Today Little Man is 1 month old...WOW...where has the month gone?
